The Person Who I Want to Marry

The great she:

She's wonderfull,
Very colorfull.
She is cute
And she don't look at me a brute.
She is nice
And she can give the others advice.
Thats my prospective
But now I need to live.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

To
Noah Daniel Hall
who was born on
October 17, 2005
to my longest and dear friend and her husband,
Holly and Dave Hall.
Nagyon (Very) Congratulations and much love.

I am thankful for:

My ever not normal and chaotic flat
gas
food
clothes
Neal
my Stateside phone line
my friends
my parents
my roommate, S
this year and this moment

Praise my Maker.

All I can think to say is, "There is a God". I hesitate writing it though because I know that He is there, I know He is real. He gave me a little something today, and it's comforting to see Him actively in my life.

Last night I had issues with my hot water heater. That was the straw that broke the camel's back.

But tonight, an old ESI-er came over and rigged up something to fix it. I also got an email from my landlady arranging for the wardrobe to come a week earlier than expected. (Whether it really comes any earlier or not is another matter. But I know enough to make it through today, and I'll handle what comes on another day on that day.)

God truly doesn't give us too much that we can't handle. Knowing that, and also being reminded of that as Neal prayed for me, comforts me to the core.

Praise the Lord. He is mighty and wonderful.

The straw

I have just one word.

Ah. That felt better.

And now showing...

Where
the
wardrobe
was

and
what
used
to
be
inside.

Ugh

number of cookies eaten today: ?

will-power: none

headache: getting more painful

stomach: not doing so good

cookies remaining: about 10

dough remaining: enough to make about 20 more

I think I must stay away from the kitchen.

Sucessful meals of the day: breakfast (eggs with broccoli with banana peach smoothie)

Pikans tortilla

What not to get from Burger King.

I couldn't decide what I wanted to order, so I got something I haven't ordered before.

'Twasn't (is that a word?) a mistake for being adventurous, but maybe it was to continue eating it! Ok, I don't want to be so harsh, I did finish it, but I don't like wasting food.

It's ingredients:

Hamberger cut in half
some salsa
about three pieces of lettuce the size of my small finger (did not meet expectations from what I saw in the advertised picture)
corn
red onion
tomato
jalepeno(the best part)

and...

raw carrot (the worst part)

all wrapped in a tortilla.

Nothing more to add.

Oh, it was also cold.

And why would you make a tortilla with no cheese?

But the fries were good.

Another

If it isn't one thing, it is another.

I want to use strong words like hate, but I will not. I'll just let it be a passing thought besides the mention of it here. I haven't figured what emotion to move on to yet and I don't like this lingering of hate. Go away, Hate. Frustration...Patience? Ah! Yes, more patience. Is it really patience when you are forced to wait?

Short version:
I emptied my old wardrobe today because a new one was coming. The old one went, but the new one did not come because the store's computer was broken. Now my clothes and I get wait for two more weeks before my poor flat can be put back(back? it hasn't been yet..) to order.

Long version: (this is really the longer version. There is not much new here than what was already said. So if you are wasting time, read away.)
The wardrobe in my flat (we don't have any closets) is a bit old and dying. Therefore my landlady picked out a new wardrobe for us, but since she is not in the country, we get to order it and take care of the delivery and those details.

Once the wardrobe was ordered with a down payment, we were told it would take 8-9 weeks before it was ready. The store called this last week to tell me it was ready--2-3 weeks ahead of schedule. Impressive.

A friend of the landlady's wants the old wardrobe, so he agreed to take the old one away and deliver the new one. This morning the old wardrobe was taken apart and carried away. Then the nice man went to the store to pick up the new one. Well...the store's computer is broken and he can't get it today. Also, he isn't free and I am not free until two weeks from now.

I thought my flat would look a little nicer today, but now clothes and boxes will colorfully decorate my flat for the next two weeks.

I am thankful the workers aren't working on the gas pipe right now. Now, I just get to wait some more.

Sigh.

Grammar

Quoted from a student, "I have an extra grammar lesson because I'm stupid for grammar."
Does he love grammar or need help with it?

Bigelow Vanilla Hazelnut

Yum. Try it for yourself. Add a pinch of sugar and a drop of milk. Oh, so tasty. This is dessert.
